- Understand and document project requirements
- Select and engage design firms
- Prepare preliminary budget
- Develop and manage associated procurement, design and master scheduling
- Coordinate owner supplied equipment (if applicable)
- Review and provide feedback regarding design constructability
- Advise concerning value-engineering
- Serve as liaison between Owner and third parties (e.g. government, utility companies)
- Monitor financial implications of decision-making
- Manage vendor bidding process
- Finalize estimate, master scheduling and cost breakdown/projections
- Supervise and manage construction activities
